CKCX Sackville - Licence amendment

The Commission approves the application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to amend the broadcasting licence for its radio programming undertaking CKCX Sackville in order to add the frequencies 7310 kHz, 7325 kHz and 7345 kHz for its short-wave operation.

CKCX rebroadcasts the programming of Radio-Canada International and CBC North Quebec. The CBC indicated that the frequencies would be used a few hours a day and only during certain months of the year.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

The Commission reminds the licensee that pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, this authority will only be effective when the Department of Industry notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.
