Application by 3077457 Nova Scotia Limited (3077457) to amend the licence of the radio programming undertaking at Ottawa, Ontario, approved in Low-power English-language tourist information service in Ottawa, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2005-256, 23 June 2005.

The licensee proposes to amend the licence by changing the frequency from 104.7 MHz (channel 284LP) to 99.7 MHz (channel 259LP).
|
|
3077457 has indicated that in Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2006-637, the Commission approved the application by 591991 B.C. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Corus Entertainment Inc., for the conversion of its AM station, CJRC Gatineau, Quebec, to the FM band using the frequency 104.7 MHz. Since 3077457 is currently licensed to operate its Ottawa station on this frequency as a low-power unprotected FM service, it has therefore submitted the above-noted application.

Application by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) to amend the licence of the radio programming undertaking CBU-FM Vancouver, British Columbia.
|
|
The licensee proposes to add an FM transmitter atDawson City to broadcast the programming of its Radio Two service originating from CBU-FM Vancouver in order to serve the population of Dawson City.
|
|
The transmitter would operate on frequency 104.9 MHz (channel 285A) with an effective radiated power of 413 watts (non-directional antenna/antenna height of -94.1 metres).
|
|
In Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2004-358, 18 August 2004, the Commission approved an application by the CBC to replace the transmitter of its Radio One service at Dawson City, CBDN-FM by a transmitter operating on the AM band. CBC indicates that its proposed transmitter would use CBDN-FM's infrastructure already in place enabling it to provide its Radio Two service at a minimal cost.
