CLEC rates for interconnection

1.

The Commission received an application by Videotron Ltd., dated 2 November 2007, for approval of revisions to its General Tariff for competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) interconnection services. The company stated that the proposed tariff revisions had been prepared in accordance with the CLEC Model Tariff Version 28.

In a letter dated 25 October 2007, all CLECs were requested to file proposed tariffs to reflect the incumbent local exchange carriers' (ILECs) interconnection rates or to file proposed rates with cost justification for any departures from the ILECs' interconnection rates.

The Commission has reviewed the company's proposal and is satisfied that it follows the CLEC Model Tariff Version 28 and that the effective dates are in accordance with those indicated in the 25 October 2007 letter.

Accordingly, the Commission approves on an interim basis Videotron Ltd.'s application, with the following effective dates:
 
  • 1 June 2007 for the interconnection rates, as per Telecom Decision 2007-27; and
 
  • 1 August 2007 for the interconnection rates applicable in Télébec, Limited Partnership's incumbent operating territory, as per Telecom Decision 2007-60.
