Mr. Jean Brazeau Dear Mr. Brazeau: RE: Tariff Notice 8/B - CLEC Rates for Interconnection On 28 November 2007, the Commission received an application by Shaw Telecom Inc. (Shaw), under cover of Tariff Notice 8/B, in which the company proposed a modification to its Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) General Tariff. Commission staff notes that version 29 of the CLEC Model Tariff will soon be issued to reflect the rates applicable in the incumbent operating of TBayTel. Commission staff also notes that Shaw will soon be revising its CLEC General Tariff in conformity with version 29 of the CLEC Model Tariff. Accordingly, Commission staff considers that it would be premature to dispose of Shaw's application before the issuance of version 29 of the CLEC Model Tariff. Consequently, the Commission will not be able to render a decision within 10 business days of the date of receipt of the application.
