RE: Tariff Notices 240 and 240A - Rate Banding (pursuant to Decision 2007-93)

On 29 October 2007, the Commission received an application by NorthernTel, Limited Partnership (NorthernTel), under cover of Tariff Notice 240, and amended on 1 November 2007, under cover of Tariff Notice 240A, to revise its General Tariff: Section N90 - Definitions; Section N100 - Exchange Service - General, Item 4 - Exchange Rate Groups, and Item 5 - Rate Schedules for Primary Exchange (Local) Service; Section N200 - Access Services Tariff, Item 10 - Ethernet Access; and Section N900 - Digital Network Services, Item 5 - Digital Exchange Access.

Specifically, NorthernTel proposed to revise the structure of its rates in the above-noted General Tariff items, from the current rate group structure to rate band structure.

Commission staff will be issuing interrogatories shortly. Consequently, the commission will not be able to render a decision within 10 business days of the date of receipt of the application. The Commission expects to render its decision within 45 business days of the application being filed.
