Re: Request for an agreement between TBayTel and Kenora Municipal Telephone System regarding wireless access services

On 6 July 2007 , the Commission received a Part VII application by TBayTel requesting that the Commission direct Kenora Municipal Telephone System (Kenora) to sign a Wireless Access Service Agreement with TBayTel.   In response to the Part VII application, Kenora committed to filing a tariff allowing for a trunk-side CCS7 wireless access interconnection which would meet the wireless access needs of TBayTel.   In reply, TBayTel submitted that a tariff allowing trunk-side CCS7 wireless interconnection was appropriate and requested that the Commission order Kenora to file such a tariff.

On 3 October 2007 , Kenora filed TN 44 for Commission approval outlining a new service, Trunk-side Access Service, in its General Tariff Section 893 with an effective date of 31 October 2007 .   In Telecom Order CRTC 2007-385 dated 18 October 2007 , the Commission approved TN 44 as filed.

Commission staff notes that Kenora has fulfilled its commitment to TBayTel and accordingly is of the view that no further action is required with respect to TBayTel's Part VII application and closes it effective today.

Yours sincerely,

Paul Godin
