LetterOttawa, 16 October 2007 File No. 8000-C12-24/02 BY E-MAIL Distribution List RE: Closure of Open Files - Agreements As part of the Commission's ongoing efforts to improve and streamline its operations, Commission staff has conducted a review of all open Agreement files with a mandate to close these applications. Commission staff notes that these Agreements have been granted interim, but not final approval. Furthermore, the Agreements listed on the attached Appendix have either been superseded, expired, or parties to the agreements have been bought by other companies. Commission staff notes that since the Interim Orders were issued, no further comments are on file for any of the Agreements. Further, considering the elapsed time since the Interim Orders were issued and recognising that certain agreements have already been superseded, staff is of the view that the Commission issuing Final Orders would serve no useful purpose. Commission staff hereby informs the Companies that the Commission intends to close the files associated with the attached list of Agreements. Commission staff considers that closing these Agreements will have no impact on the Companies' operations, and that no further action or Final Orders will be required or forthcoming. Accordingly, each Company is requested to review the attached list of Agreements and provide, by 30 October 2007 , any comments on Commission staff's proposal to close these files.
