Please find attached interrogatories related to the tariff applications of Bell Canada and Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership filed under cover of Tariff Notices 7067 and 120, respectively, in which the companies proposed the introduction of General Tariff Item 108, Advance Facility Check service .

Responses to these interrogatories are to be filed with the Commission by 29 October 2007 .

Interrogatories related to Bell Canada TN 7067 and Bell Aliant TN 120

  1. Identify the additional work covered by the proposed item 108, if any, that is not covered in the Companies' GT item 100, Work-Function Structure and explain the differences.
     
  2. Identify the cirumstances under which an Advanced Facility Check charge would not automatically apply if a business customer requests the services specified in the proposed item 108.2., Eligible Customers.
     
  3. In their applications, the Companies noted that charges have been assessed to customers to determine if the required facilities are available for the requested services prior to the Companies confirming a due date for the customer's request pursuant to General Tariff (GT) item 4960.

a)  Identify the specific parts of GT item 4960 that were used for the situations outined in the proposed tariff items and provide an explanation of how such charges were assessed.

b)  Provide an estimate of the number of times customers were assessed such charges for the period from January 2007 to August 2007 and the percentage of such occurrences that applied to a wholesale customer.
