LetterOttawa, 3 October 2007 File No. 8000-C12-24/02 BY E-MAIL Distribution List RE: Proposed Closure of Open Tariff Applications As part of the Commission's efforts to improve and streamline its operations, Commission staff has conducted a review of all open tariff applications with a view to completing these proceedings. Commission staff notes that some of these open tariff applications have been granted interim, but not final approval. Furthermore, for a number of these interim approved applications, the related tariff pages have been totally superseded. This letter deals specifically with the attached list of tariff notices (TNs) for which the tariff pages involved have been totally replaced and/or migrated as a result of subsequently filed TNs, Orders and/or Decisions. Commission staff notes that since the Interim Orders were issued, no further comments have been received on any of these TNs. Further, considering the elapsed time since the Interim Orders were issued, and recognizing that all the tariff pages associated with these TNs have already been superseded, staff is of the view that the Commission issuing Final Orders would serve no useful purpose. Commission staff hereby informs the companies that the Commission intends to close the files associated with the attached list of open tariff applications. Commission staff considers that closing these TNs will have no impact on the companies' operations, and that no further action or Final Orders will be required or forthcoming. Accordingly, each company is requested to review this list of TNs and provide, by 24 October 2007 , any comments on Commission staff's proposal to close these files.
