Dear Mr. Grieve:

Re: TELUS Communications Company - Application for Deferral Account Recovery of Foregone DNA Revenues re Telecom Decision 2007-10

On 18 July 2007, the Commission received a Part VII application by TELUS Communications Company (TCC), in which TCC requested that the Commission approve recovery, from the Company's deferral account, of the amounts set out in the attachment to the application, pursuant to AT&T Global Services Canada Co. - Application seeking relief with respect to the application of Basic Service Extension Feature charges to configurations involving Competitor Digital Network DS-1 to DS-0 channelization service , Telecom Decision CRTC 2007-10, 15 February 2007 (Decision 2007-10).

Commission staff notes that in Decision 2007-10, the Commission considered that, to the extent the Basic Service Extension Feature charges to be refunded to competitors are associated with Competitor Digital Network access demand in existence at 1 June 2002 , such charges constitute forgone revenues for the incumbent local exchange carriers that are eligible for compensation from their respective deferral accounts.

Accordingly, further consideration of TCC's application to recover foregone Digital Network Access revenues from its deferral account, pursuant to Decision 2007-10, is not required. Thus, this file is closed.

Yours sincerely,
