Dear Mr. Palmer:

RE: Tariff Notices 0109 and 7054 - Centrex III Service and Managed Internet Protocol Telephony Service

On 31 July 2007 , the Commission received applications by Bell Aliant and Bell Canada , under cover of Tariff Notices 0109 and 7054 respectively, in which the companies proposed modifications to its Centrex III and Managed Internet Protocol Telephony Services.

In Bell Aliant - Applications for forbearance from the regulation of business local exchange services, Telecom Decision CRTC 2007-70, 10 August 2007 , the Commission noted that it will be issuing a public notice shortly to address the issue of Centrex services in relation to applications for forbearance from the regulation of business local exchange services. Accordingly, Commission staff considers that it would be premature to dispose of the company's application before a determination is rendered in this upcoming proceeding.

Consequently, this application is closed. The Commission will be open to examining an application from the company once a determination is rendered in this upcoming public notice proceeding. The company may contact Antica Corner at (819) 997-1334 should it require further information.

Yours sincerely,

'Original signed by P. Godin'
