RE: Tariff Notice 258 - Various Centrex Tariffs

On 27 July 2007, the Commission received an application by Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership, under cover of Tariff Notice 258, in which the company proposed modifications to various Centrex tariffs.

In Bell Aliant - Applications for forbearance from the regulation of business local exchange services, Telecom Decision CRTC 2007-70, 10 August 2007 , the Commission noted that it will be issuing a public notice shortly to address the issue of Centrex services in relation to applications for forbearance from the regulation of business local exchange services. Accordingly, Commission staff considers that it would be premature to dispose of the company's application before a determination is rendered in this upcoming proceeding.

Consequently, this application is closed. The Commission will be open to examining an application from the company once a determination is rendered in this upcoming proceeding. The company may contact Joëlle Bernier at (819) 994-0551 should it require further information.
