Dear Mr. Connolly:

Re: Tariff Notice 444A

On 13 April 2007, the Commission received an application from TELUS Communications Company (TCC), under cover of Tariff Notice (TN) 444, proposing to include section 2.01.08 - Forbearance from Regulation of Residential Local Services in its General Tariff.

The Commission points out that the company was informed through a letter dated 23 April 2007 that the Commission intended to dispose of TN 444 with the application for forbearance from regulation of local residential services in the Rimouski, Quebec exchange.

On 3 July 2007, TCC filed TN 444A with the Commission, proposing to amend TN 444 by modifying the list of services and exchanges included in the wording of the proposed tariff pages.

The Commission is currently examining the applications for forbearance from regulation for the exchanges included in TN 444, as modified by TN 444A, and consequently will be unable to render a decision within 10 business days of its receipt. The Commission intends to dispose of TN 444 , as amended by TN 444A, when it has made its decision regarding the last of the exchanges included in the wording of the proposed tariff pages.

Sincerely,

Original signed by C. Bailey
