Re: Process amendment related to Public Notice 2007-7

In Review of local number portability for voice over Internet Protocol services , Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2007-7, 8 May 2007 (Public Notice 2007-7), the Commission initiated a proceeding regarding the extent to which local number portability functionality must be supported for local Voice over Internet Protocol services.  

Parties to the proceeding were to file comments and evidence with the Commission by 9 July 2007 .  

The Commission, however, will soon be issuing an amendment to Public Notice 2007-7 which will widen the scope and change the timelines of the proceeding.   Accordingly, all parties should refrain from filing their comments and evidence until the new timelines are published in the forthcoming amendment.
