Object:   Review of certain Phase II costing issues, Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2007-4, 30 March 2007 - Request by TCC for extension of time to submit responses to interrogatories.

By letter dated 8 June 2007, TELUS Communications Company (TCC) requested a seven-day extension with respect to the date of 22 June 2007 for the submission of responses to interrogatories in the proceeding initiated by Review of certain Phase II costing issues, Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2007-4, 30 March 2007 (Public Notice 2007-4).

In support of its request, TCC submitted that the filing date of 22 June 2007 occurred at or around the filing dates of other proceedings that involved the same company resources.

In the circumstances, the requested extension is considered reasonable. Revised deadlines with respect to paragraphs 18 to 21 of Public Notice 2007-4 are as follows:

Responses to interrogatories addressed pursuant to paragraph 17 are to be filed with the Commission and served on all parties by 29 June 2007 (revised from 22 June 2007).

Requests by parties for further responses to their interrogatories, specifying in each case why a further response is both relevant and necessary, and requests for public disclosure of information for which confidentiality has been claimed, setting out in each case the reasons for disclosure, must be filed with the Commission and served on the relevant party or parties by 13 July 2007 (revised from 6 July 2007).

Written responses to requests for further responses to interrogatories and for public disclosure must be filed with the Commission and served on the party or parties making the request by 20 July 2007 (revised from 13 July 2007).

A determination will be issued with respect to requests for further information and public disclosure as soon as possible. Any information to be provided pursuant to that determination will be filed with the Commission and served on all interested parties by 7 August 2007 (revised from 3 August 2007).

The deadlines set out in paragraphs 22 to 26 of Public Notice 2007-4 remain unchanged.
