Dear Mr. Palmer:

Re:   Bell Aliant Tariff Notice No. 71 and Bell Canada Tariff Notice No. 7016 - Megalink Service

On 27 February 2007 , the Commission received applications from Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership and Bell Canada under cover of Tariff Notices 71 and 7016, respectively.

As the companies' applications raise significant policy issues related to the extension of an existing Minimum Contract Period (MCP) at the existing MCP terms, conditions and rates, the Commission is unable to dispose of the applications within 45 business days of receipt of Tariff Notices 71 and 7016.   The Commission expects to render its decision by the end of June 2007.

Yours sincerely,
