LetterOttawa, 18 April 2007 File No.: 8622-C12-200704321 To: Interested Parties to Public Notice 2007-3 Re: Proceeding to consider the requirement for a network interconnection device when the incumbent local exchange carrier's network is disconnected from residential inside wire , Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2007-3, 19 March 2007 (PN 2007-3) By letter dated 12 April 2007, the Canadian Cable Systems Alliance, Cogeco Cable Canada Inc., Rogers Cable Communications Inc., Shaw Communications Inc., and Vidéotron ltée (collectively, the Cable Companies) requested that paragraph 8 of PN 2007-3 be reworded so as to address the circumstance when any LEC disconnects another LEC's network from a customer's inside wire. The Cable Companies also requested that all other LECs registered with the Commission should also be made parties to the proceeding. On 13 April 2007, Saskatchewan Telecommunications supported the Cable Companies' requests. In view of the requests, the process set out in PN 2007-3 is suspended. Parties are to file comments on the Cable Companies' requests, by 23 April 2007, serving copies on all other parties to this proceeding. The Commission will establish a revised schedule at the time it makes a determination with respect to the Cable Companies' requests.
