Dear Mr. Palmer:

RE:  Bell Canada Tariff Notice 7002 and Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership Tariff Notice 57

The Commission received applications, dated 22 November 2006, by Bell Canada and Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership under cover of Tariff Notices 7002 and 57, respectively in which the companies proposed the introduction of General Tariffs item 107, Business Order Cancellation (BOC).   The companies noted that the BOC would apply to customers of certain business services that cancel a service order after the companies have undertaken activities and incurred costs associated with fulfilling the service order.

Commission staff addressed interrogatories to the companies on 30 November 2006 and the companies filed responses to these interrogatories on 8 December 2006 .   The Commission received comments from various interveners from 7 December 2006 through 28 December 2006 . T he Commission received reply comments from the companies on 22 December 2006 .

In light of the comments received, the Commission will be unable to dispose of the companies' applications within 45 business days.

The Commission expects to render its decision on the companies' applications by the end of March 2007.

Yours sincerely,
