Mr. David J. Hennessey Re: Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership - Tariff Notice 218 - Amendments to Centrex Business Service, Business Communications Service and Provincial Centrex Service Dear Mr. Hennessey, The Commission is in receipt of a letter from Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership (Bell Aliant or the company), dated 5 January 2007 , in which the company stated that it was in receipt of a letter from Bragg Communications Inc., carrying on business as EastLink (Eastlink), dated 14 December 2006 and addressed to the Commission. In its letter, Bell Aliant indicated that it was not sent a copy of EastLink's letter until the late evening of 28 December 2006 due to an oversight by EastLink, which oversight has been recognized by this last. Bell Aliant further noted that due to the New Year's holiday period, it did not become aware of EastLink's letter until 2 January 2007 . The company accordingly requested that it be permitted to respond to EastLink's letter on or before 12 January 2007 . Bell Aliant's proposal is acceptable. Yours truly, 'Original signed by S. Bédard '
