Application No. 2006-0808-6
Application by The Kamloops Campus/Community Radio Society relating to the licence of radio programming undertaking CFBX-FM Kamloops, British Columbia.
The licensee proposes to change the authorized contours by increasing the effective radiated power from 4.9 watts to 420 watts, by decreasing the antenna height and by relocating the transmitter (non-directional antenna/antenna height -191 metres).
The licensee advised that it wished to improve the reception across the city and it would like to have a protected status for the frequency.
The Commission notes that the increase in power would result in a change of the
CFBX-FM Kamloops status from a low power unprotected service to a regular Class A service.
