Application by Canadian Broadcasting Corporation relating to the licence of radio programming undertaking CBT Grand Falls, Newfoundland and Labrador.

The licensee proposes to change the authorized contours of its transmitter CBTB-FM Baie Verte by increasing the effective radiated power from 5,850 watts to 24,200 watts and by decreasing the antenna height (non-directional antenna/antenna height of 253.9 metres).
|
|
The licensee advised that it will combine the CBTB-FM antenna with its future Radio Two transmitter at its existing site south of Wild Cove where it intends to install a new tower in 2007.

Application by Peace River Broadcasting Corporation Ltd. to amend the licence of radio programming undertaking CKYL Peace River.

The licensee proposes to add FM transmitters atPeace River, High Prairie, Fairview, Valleyview and Saddle Hills to broadcast the programming of CKYL, in order to improve service to the communities noted above.
|
|
The applicant stated that the contours of CKYL have eroded over the years and signal quality has deteriorated as more power lines have been built.
|
|
The transmitter at Peace River would operate on frequency 88.7 MHz (channel 204A) with an effective radiated power of 2,900 watts (non-directional antenna/antenna height of
115.3 metres).
|
|
The transmitter at High Prairie would operate on frequency 88.5 MHz (channel 203A) with an effective radiated power of 1,400 watts (non-directional antenna/antenna height of
117.4 metres).
|
|
The transmitter at Fairview would operate on frequency 88.5 MHz (channel 203A) with an effective radiated power of 850 watts (non-directional antenna/antenna height of 65.7 metres).
|
|
The transmitter at Valleyview would operate on frequency 88.7 MHz (channel 204A) with an effective radiated power of 1,400 watts (non-directional antenna/antenna height of
89.2 metres).

A true copy must be sent to the applicant and proof that this has been done must accompany the intervention sent to the Commission.

The Commission advises those who file and serve by electronic mode to exercise caution when using e-mail for service of documents or notification, as it may be difficult to establish that service has occurred.

Before initiating service through electronic mode, please ensure that you will be able to satisfy the Commission, upon request, that service of the notification was completed.
