Dear Mr. Maksimow:

Re:    MTS Allstream Tariff Notice 610

On 19 December 2006 , the Commission received an application by MTS Allstream, under cover of Tariff Notice 610 (TN 610), requesting the Commission's approval to increase the rate charged for a local payphone call originating at public and semi-public telephones.

In view of the holiday season, the Commission will not be able to render a decision within 10 business days of the date of receipt of TN 610.   The Commission expects to render its decision within 45 business days of the date of receipt of the tariff notice.

Yours sincerely,
