Mr. Terry Connolly
Dear Mr. Connolly:
Re: TELUS Communications Company TN 573 - Withdrawal of Alberta Manual 150 Mobile Telephone Service
On 18 October 2006 , TELUS Communications Company (TCC) filed for Commission approval, under cover of tariff notice 573, a proposed revision to TELUS Communications Inc.'s General Tariff to withdraw Item 270, Alberta Manual 150 Mobile Telephone Service .
As TCC has a number of customers currently subscribing to the service in question, consideration of the application was deferred, pursuant to the procedure established in New procedures for disposition of applications dealing with the destandardization and/or withdrawal of tariffed services , Telecom Circular CRTC 2005-7, for 45 calendar days to allow for customer comments.
In view of the holiday season, the Commission will be unable to dispose of the this application within 45 business days from the date of the application. The Commission expects to render its decision by the end of January 2007.
