ATTACHMENT

The following interrogatories are addressed to Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership, Bell Canada, MTS Allstream Inc., Ontera , Saskatchewan Telecommunications, and TELUS Communications Company.

  1. The following question is intended to ensure that consistent information was provided by the companies in response to (CRTC)1Sept06-01.   For each of the years from 2001 to 2005, provide the following information.   Basic toll customers are those customers of the company that do not subscribe to one of the company's discount toll plans and who are not PIC'd to another service provider.   Toll customers include the sum of basic and discount plan customers of the company and exclude customers PIC'd to another service provider.   Information for basic toll customers should be included whether or not a basic toll customer has made a toll call within a particular period.

a)   Provide the percentage of residential basic toll subscribers to the residential toll customers of the company.

b)   Provide the percentage of business basic toll subscribers to the business toll customers of the company.

c)   Provide the percentage of basic toll minutes for residential customers to the total toll minutes for residential customers.

d)   Provide the percentage of basic toll minutes for business customers to the total toll minutes for business customers.

e)   Provide the percentage of residential basic toll revenues to the total toll revenues for residential customers.

Provide the percentage of business basic toll revenues to the total toll revenues for business customers.
