Mr. Brian Armstrong document.control@sasktel.sk.ca Dear Mr. Armstrong: RE: Tariff Notice No. 120 - Stand Alone Porting The Commission received an application by Saskatchewan Telecommunications Inc. (SaskTel) under cover of Tariff Notice 120, dated 28 August 2006 , in which SaskTel proposed the introduction of Stand Alone Porting service. In its application, SaskTel noted that the proposed service would be available to alternate service providers (ASPs) eligible to port numbers under the number portability conditions established by the Commission. The Company indicated that the proposed service encompasses the activities related to the additional work that SaskTel must undertake to port a telephone number to an ASP without an associated loop migration and requested an effective date of 11 September 2006. Commission staff considers that the company's application raises issues which require further examination. The Commission expects to render a determination on the company's applications by the end of February 2007. Yours sincerely, 'Original signed by D. Magmanlac' (for)
