Re: Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2006-12 - Proceeding to reassess certain aspects of the local forbearance framework established in Decision 2006-15: Placement of certain aggregated information on the public record

In Commission staff's letter of October 18, 2006 , it was determined that the following information, aggregated on a national basis, would be placed on the public record :

  • actual residential and business connections and associated revenues for ILEC and non-ILEC service providers, for the years 2004 and 2005, and for the period ending August 2006;
  • average monthly churn rates for residential and business services, averaged across non-ILEC service providers based on connections for the year 2005 as of December 31 and the year 2006 as of August 31; and
  • percentage of telephone numbers that were ported into non-ILECs' local exchange residential and business services, averaged across non-ILEC service providers, based on connections for the year 2005 as of December 31 and the year 2006 as of August 31.

Attached is the above-noted information.   Commission staff has made adjustments to account for differing reporting periods used by the companies.

Yours sincerely,
