Mr. John Downs Dear Mr. Downs: Re: Tariff Notice 31 - Competitive Local Exchange Carrier General Tariff On 17 October 2006 , the Commission received an application by Nexicom Telecommunications Inc. (Nexicom), under cover of Tariff Notice 31, in which the company proposed to introduce its Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) General Tariff. Commission staff notes that while Nexicom is a small incumbent local exchange carrier (ILEC), it has recently registered as a proposed CLEC under the same corporate name. Commission staff notes that Nexicom has already used CRTC 25380 for the General Tariff related to its small ILEC operations. Commission staff notes that Nexicom should have used the next tariff number, namely CRTC 25381, in the tariff block (CRTC 25380 to 25389) it was assigned as a small ILEC, rather than using the same tariff number for its CLEC operations. Consequently, this application is closed. However, the Commission is open to examining a new application from the company that would address the items noted above. The application must be filed under cover of a new tariff notice. The company may contact Joëlle Bernier at (819) 994-0551 should it require further information.
