Mr. Terry Connolly Dear Mr. Connolly : Re: Former TCI Tariff Notice 572 and TCBC Tariff Notice 4258 On 15 September 2006 , the Commission received applications from TELUS Communications Company (TCC) under cover of Former TCI Tariff Notice 572 and TCBC Tariff Notice 4258 proposing revisions to various General Tariff items. In its applications, the company proposed to eliminate the service charges for residential exchange customers in Alberta and British Columbia that request moves, new installations, changes or reconnections. The company also proposed to include the service charge functions as part of the company's residential exchange service and to increase monthly rates for residential local exchange service to reflect this inclusion. In an earlier letter dated 16 August 2006, TCC requested that its proposed changes be considered in the proceeding initiated by Elimination of service connection charge applicable to Residential Primary Exchange Service customers , Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2006-11, 11 August 2006 (PN 2006-11), to consider similar proposals by Bell Canada and Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership (Bell Canada et al.). The Commission also received letters from Bell Canada et al. , dated 18 August 2006 and 31 August 2006 in which they concurred with TCC's request. In light of the above, the Commission has determined that it will consider these Tariff Notices as part of the proceeding initiated by PN 2006-11 and will issue revised timelines shortly. Yours sincerely, 'Original signed by S. Bédard '
