LetterOttawa, 28 September 2006 File No.: 8740-G1-200611732 By e-mail
Mr. Claude Beauregard Dear Sir: RE: Téléphone Guèvremont inc. - TN 51 On 15 September 2006, Téléphone Guèvremont inc. (TGI or the company) filed Tariff Notice 51 (TN 51). The company proposed to amend certain rates set out in item 7.20 of its general tariff. Specifically, TGI asked the Commission to approve the insertion of new rates to its 2006 direct connect and interconnecting circuit rates. The company asked the Commission that the effective date of the approval of its tariff amendments be retroactive to 1 January 2006 , the effective date of the new regulatory regime for incumbent local exchange carriers. The purpose of this letter is to inform the company that, due to complications related to the request for retroaction and a potential typographical error with regard to the year the direct connect rates come into effect on the tariff page proposed by TGI, the Commission will be unable to render a decision within 10 days of filing of the application. However, the Commission intends to dispose of the application within 45 business days of receipt of Tariff Notice 51. Sincerely, "Original signed by S. Bédard"
