By E-mail
Mr. Willie Grieve Dear Mr. Grieve: Re: Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2006-11, Elimination of service connection charge applicable to Residential Primary Exchange Service customers The Commission received a letter from TELUS Communications Company (TCC) in which the company indicated that it intended to file tariff notices by 15 September 2006 for its incumbent territories in Alberta, British Columbia and Quebec, proposing changes similar to those proposed by Bell Canada and Bell Aliant Regional Communications, Limited Partnership (collectively, the Companies) and under consideration in Telecom Public Notice CRTC 2006-11, 11 August 2006 (PN 2006-11). In its letter, TCC expressed the view that its forthcoming tariff notices should be considered under PN 2006-11 and, accordingly, the Commission should alter the proposed timelines. The Commission received comments from the Companies in which they concurred with TCC's request that the Commission should consider TCC's planned tariff notices in PN 2006-11. Under the circumstances, PN 2006-11 is hereby suspended until TCC files its tariff notices, whereupon the Commission will issue a revision to PN 2006-11, including revised timelines. Yours sincerely, 'Original signed by S. Bédard '
