RE: Bell Canada 's Part VII application concerning Competitor Digital Network Services in the territory of TELUS Communications Company in Quebec

On 16 August 2006 , Commission staff asked TELUS Communications Company (TCC) and Télébec, société en commandite (Télébec) to answer a series of questions relating to Bell Canada 's Part VII application concerning Competitor Digital Network Services in TCC's territory in Quebec .

On 28 August 2006 , TCC filed a letter with the Commission explaining that because of the departure of an employee in the regulatory section and the resulting reorganization of the method for providing regulatory services to TCC in Quebec , TCC was unable to meet the 5 September 2006 deadline for filing responses to the Commission's interrogatories.   In its letter of 28 August 2006 , TCC requested an extension of the deadline for replying to the interrogatories, filing comments on the replies and replying to the parties' comments.

In light of TCC's request, Commission staff hereby extends the deadlines as follows:

  1. TCC and Télébec are asked to reply in detail and with supporting documentation to the questions submitted to them by Commission staff on 16 August 2006, with copies served on the other parties, by 19 September 2006;

  2. The parties have until 2 October 2006 to file their comments on the replies by TCC and Télébec to the above-noted questions;

  3. Where applicable, the parties have until 12 October 2006 to file their replies to the parties' comments.

Where a document is to be filed or served by a specific date, the document must be actually received, not merely sent, by that date .

Yours truly,
