Dear Mr. Yeulett:

Re:    Northwestel Inc. Tariff Notice No. 832

In the above noted tariff notice, Northwestel Inc. (NWTel) proposed revisions to its General Tariff CRTC 3001, Maintenance and Repair.   The proposed revisions included changes to Item 1503, Maintenance of IP PBX Business Equipment, to add business equipment maintenance rates for new small PBX equipment and new large PBX equipment.   NWTel also proposed to grandfather Item 1502, Maintenance of Business Equipment Vintage 2000.

Commission staff note that in New procedures for disposition of applications dealing with the destandardization and/or withdrawal of tariffed services , Telecom Circular CRTC 2005-7, 30 May 2005 (Circular 2005-7), the Commission established procedures to be followed for tariff applications dealing with the destandardization and/or withdrawal of tariffed services.   At paragraph 16, the Commission set out a list of the information to be provided with such applications.

Commission staff note that the above-noted application did not include all of the information required by Circular 2005-7.   Consequently, this application has been closed.

The Commission is open to examining a new application from the company that meets the requirements of Circular 2005-7.   The application must be filed under cover of a new tariff notice.

Sincerely,

'Original signed by P. Godin'
