Willie Grieve Re: Application requesting forbearance of interexchange optical fibre The Commission is in receipt of an application by TELUS Communications Company (TCC) [1] dated 1 June 2006 in which TCC requested forbearance with respect to the provision of interexchange optical fibre in the Company's incumbent service territory in Alberta and British Columbia . Given the close connection between the issues raised in TCC's application and the issues with respect to forbearance raised in the company's application to review and vary Issues with respect to the provision of optical fibre , Telecom Decision CRTC 2005-63, 24 November 2005 , Commission staff is of the view that both applications should be considered together. Parties are to file their comments with the Commission on TCC's 1 June 2006 application by 4 July 2006 , serving a copy thereof on TCC. TCC would then have until 14 July 2004 to file its reply, serving a copy on parties that filed comments. Where a document is to be filed or served by a specific date, the document must be actually received, not merely sent by that date. Yours Truly,
