Dear Mr. Gilbert:

Re:     Telecom Decision CRTC 2006-9 - Request for extension

In paragraph 247 of Telecom Decision CRTC 2006-9, 16 February 2006, Disposition of funds in the deferral accounts (Decision 2006-9), the Commission allowed Télébec to recover the recurring shortfall in its deferral account through an exogenous adjustment and, accordingly, directed Télébec to file an exogenous factor proposal for this recovery coincident with its 2006 annual price cap filing.

In a letter dated 10 May 2006 , Télébec asked the Commission to extend to 30 June 2006 the date for filing its recovery proposal.   Télébec stated that it required an extension to complete its analyses.

The Commission hereby confirms approval of Télébec's request for an extension.   The company has until 30 June 2006 to file its exogenous factor proposal with the Commission.

Yours truly,
