Dear Mr. Palmer:

RE:       Bell Canada Tariff Notices 6946 and 6947

The Commission received an application from Bell   Canada , dated 9 May 2006 , under cover of Tariff Notice 6946, proposing the addition of Item 106 - Accelerated Delivery Interval - Market Trial to the company's General Tariff (GT).   Bell Canada submitted that the Accelerated Delivery Interval - Market Trial proposes to introduce an additional service charge to business and wholesale customers who require a shorter than standard interval for the provisioning and installation of specific retail services, for a limited time.

The Commission also received an application from Bell Canada , dated 11 May 2006 , under cover of Tariff Notice 6947, proposing revisions to Item 2180 - PrimeLine Executive service of the company's GT.   Bell Canada submitted that the company was proposing to introduce a flexible rate structure which would enable the company to implement future rate changes to further encourage customer migration from PrimeLine Executive service, without involving the Commission.

Commission staff considers that the company's application raise issues which require further examination.   The Commission expects to render a determination on these applications within 45 business days from the dates they were filed.

Yours sincerely,
