Mr. Terry Connolly Dear Mr. Connolly : Re: Former TCI Tariff Notice No. 564 - Deductions - Churches, Community Centres and Senior Citizen Drop-in Centres The Commission received an application by TELUS Communications Company. (TCC), dated 27 April 2006 , proposing revisions to its Former TCI General Tariff - Item 430, Deductions - Churches, Community Centres and Senior Citizen Drop-In Centres. In its application, the company proposed to de-link Item 430 from its residence classified exchange service monthly rates effective 11 May 2006 . TCC submitted that residential rate reductions as directed in Disposition of funds in the deferral accounts , Telecom Decision CRTC 2006-9, dated 16 February 2006 , would be confusing to Deduction customers in light of its Tariff Notice 555, presently before the Commission, which proposes to grandfather the Deduction and increase rates over time. The company's application remains under review by Commission staff. The Commission expects to render a determination on this application within 45 business days from the date of the application. Yours sincerely, 'Original signed by S. Bédard '
