File Nos: 8740-B2-6653/02 Ottawa, 19 January 2006 BY E-MAIL To: Interested Parties to Bell Canada Tariff Notice 6653 and TELUS (TCI) Tariff Notice 488 and TELUS (TCBC) Tariff Notice 4173 Re: Power Rates for Co-Location Arrangements for Interconnecting Canadian Carriers - requests by MTS Allstream Inc. and Rogers Communications Inc. for extension to file comments and reply comments The Commission received letters from MTS Allstream Inc. (MTS Allstream) dated 18 January 2006, and Rogers Communications Inc. (Rogers) dated 19 January 2006, requesting an extension to the filing due date for comments and reply comments set out in the Commission staff's letter of 29 December 2005. MTS Allstream submitted that these time-frames were insufficient for analysis and preparation of comment, considering the extensive information on record and the approximate two-year dormancy associated with this proceeding. MTS Allstream proposed that parties be permitted to file comments by 20 January 2006 and that Bell Canada and TELUS be permitted to file reply comments by 27 January 2006. Rogers submitted that it would be unable to provide comments until 27 January 2006 and requested an extension to that date. In the circumstances, the request to extend the filing deadlines is considered reasonable. Accordingly, the procedure established in the letter dated 29 December 2005 is amended as follows: a) the deadline by which parties may file comments is extended to 27 January 2006; and b) the deadline by which TELUS and Bell Canada may file reply comments with respect to their respective Tariff Notices is extended to 3 February 2006. All material must be filed with the Commission and served on all parties by the dates indicated. Original signed by
