Cable distribution undertaking at Lac Beauport (Charlesbourg) and surrounding areas - Licence renewal

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the Class 3 cable broadcasting distribution undertaking serving Lac Beauport (Charlesbourg) and surrounding areas, Quebec, from 1 September 2006 to 31 August 2013.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

The operation of this undertaking is regulated pursuant to the Broadcasting Distribution Regulations. The licence will be subject to the conditions specified therein as well as to the following conditions:
 
  • The licensee is authorized to distribute, at its option, as part of the basic service, the signals CFTU-TV (Canal Savoir) and CFCT-TV (CTV) Montréal, Quebec.
 
  • The licensee is authorized to distribute, at its option, as part of the basic service, the signals WPTZ (NBC), WCFE-TV (PBS) Plattsburgh, New York, WCAX-TV (CBS) and WVNY (ABC) Burlington, Vermont.

In accordance with Implementation of an employment equity policy, Public Notice CRTC 1992-59, 1 September 1992, the Commission encourages the licensee to consider employment equity issues in its hiring practices and in all other aspects of its management of human resources.
