Deadline to commence operations

The Commission approves the applications by Rogers Broadcasting Limited for an extension of the time limit to commence the operation of the transitional digital programming undertakings CFMT-DT (OMNI. 1) in Toronto, authorized in CFMT-TV (OMNI.1) Toronto - Transitional digital television licence, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2004-299, 29 July 2004 and CJMT-DT (OMNI. 2) in Toronto, authorized in CJMT-TV (OMNI.2) Toronto - Transitional digital television licence, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2004-300, 29 July 2004.

The licences for these undertakings will be issued once the applicant has informed the Commission in writing that it is prepared to commence operations. The undertakings must be operational at the earliest possible date and in any event no later than 29 July 2007, unless a request for an extension of time is approved by the Commission before that date. In order to ensure that such a request is processed in a timely manner, it should be submitted at least 60 days before that date.
