CJOJ-FM Belleville - Licence renewal

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the commercial radio programming undertaking CJOJ-FM Belleville, from 1 April 2006 to 31 August 2012.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.
|
3.
|
The licence will be subject to the conditions set out in New licence form for commercial radio stations, Public Notice CRTC 1999-137, 24 August 1999 (Public Notice 1999-137), as well as to the following condition of licence:

- In addition to the amount required under condition of licence number 5 set out in Public Notice 1999-137, the licensee shall devote $2,000 annually towards the development of Canadian talent.
|

Other matters

The Commission reminds the licensee that the technical amendment approved in CJOJ-FM Belleville - Technical amendment, Broadcasting Decision CRTC 2002-333, 23 October 2002 will only be effective when the Department of Industry (the Department) has advised the Commission that the proposed technical parameters will not create any unacceptable interference with aeronautical NAV/COM services.

Pursuant to section 22(1) of the Broadcasting Act, the authority for the amendment noted above will only be effective when the Department notifies the Commission that its technical requirements have been met, and that a broadcasting certificate will be issued.

In accordance with Implementation of an employment equity policy, Public Notice CRTC 1992-59, 1 September 1992, the Commission encourages the licensee to consider employment equity issues in its hiring practices and in all other aspects of its management of human resources.
