CJSS-FM Cornwall - Licence renewal

1.

The Commission renews the broadcasting licence for the commercial radio programming undertaking CJSS-FM Cornwall, from 1 April 2006 to 31 August 2012.

The Commission did not receive any interventions in connection with this application.

The licence will be subject to the conditions set out in New licence form for commercial radio stations, Public Notice CRTC 1999-137, 24 August 1999.

4.

The Commission reminds the licensee that it must fulfil all of the commitments to benefits described in Transfer of control, Decision CRTC 2001-703, 19 November 2001, in which the Commission approved an application by Corus Radio Company to acquire control and ownership of 519957 Ontario Ltd., a company that was, at the time, the licensee of Cornwall stations CJUL, CFLG-FM and CJSS-FM.

Because this licensee is subject to the Employment Equity Act and files reports concerning employment equity with theDepartment of Human Resources and Skills Development, its employment equity practices are not examined by the Commission.
