Terms of data transmission and special interexchange services

1.

The Commission received an application by Société en commandite Télébec (Télébec), dated 23 September 2004, to revise General Tariff items 8.1, Terms of Data Transmission, 6.1, Interexchange Distance Charges, 6.3, Leased Channels, and 8.9, Enhanced Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) 23B+D, in order to increase the rates by 10% for data transmission channels and special interexchange services.

Télébec submitted its price cap indices impacts and noted that none of the rate increases exceed the 10% rate element constraint.

By letters dated 6 December and 9 December 2004, Télébec filed updates to its price cap indices.

4.

Télébec filed an imputation test in support of its proposed rates.

5.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission finds that the imputation test is satisfactory.

7.

The Commission notes that the services in question are classified as services in the Other capped services basket, in accordance with Regulatory framework for second price cap period, Telecom Decision CRTC 2002-34, 30 May 2002.

8.

The Commission also notes that the proposed increases to the rates for those services do not exceed the rate element constraint of 10%.

9.

The Commission approves Télébec's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this Order.
