Telecom Order CRTC 2005-8

  Ottawa, 6 January 2005

Aliant Telecom Inc.

  Reference: Tariff Notice 145

Hotel Service

The Commission received an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom), dated 1 December 2004, to introduce General Tariff item 205.6, Hotel Service - NS & PEI Only, and item 825, Business Communications Service (Hotel and Motel BCS) - New Brunswick Only, in order to migrate the following items to the Aliant Telecom General Tariff:
  • Maritime Tel & Tel Limited's General Tariff item 740, Hotel Service;
  • Island Telecom Inc.'s General Tariff item 700, Hotel Service, and item 710, Hotel Service Classifications; and
  • NBTel Inc.'s General Tariff item 3810, Hotel and Motel BCS.

Aliant Telecom submitted that the revisions would have no impact on rates or services provided.

Aliant Telecom also proposed to remove NBTel Inc.'s General Tariff items 3640.1, 3645.1 and 3655.1, Hotel and Motel Private Branch Exchange Service, as there are no customers for the service.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves Aliant Telecom's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this Order.
