Telecom Order CRTC 2005-46

  Ottawa, 4 February 2005

Aliant Telecom Inc.

  Reference: Tariff Notice 148

Terms of Service

The Commission received an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom), dated 22 December 2004, to revise General Tariff item 255, Standard Service Charges, and to make wording changes to General Tariff item 105.14.1, Terms of Service.

Aliant Telecom submitted that after its approval in Standard service charges, Telecom Order CRTC 2002-326, 2 August 2002, the company became aware that the service description for this service was, at times, confusing and difficult to understand. Aliant Telecom stated that the proposed amendment to item 255 would address this deficiency by clarifying the tariff text by making it easier to follow.

Aliant Telecom further proposed to remove the words "either or both" which were inadvertently left in item 105.14.1 when it was introduced in Aliant Telecom's General Tariff.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves Aliant Telecom's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this Order.
