Aliant Telecom Inc.

  Reference: Tariff Notice 143

National Centrex Service

1.

The Commission received an application by Aliant Telecom Inc. (Aliant Telecom), dated 8 November 2004, proposing to consolidate existing tariff items pertaining to National Centrex Service in each of the four Aliant Telecom constituent companies into one consistent Aliant Telecom General Tariff item 215.2, National Centrex Service.

2.

In order to make the terms and conditions of service consistent for the total company, Aliant Telecom proposed to remove the Minimum Contract Period clause that allows for customers in the provinces of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island, who have completed 5 years of National Centrex Service, to remove 25% of their minimum lines in service without penalty.

The Commission received no comments concerning this application.

4.
