Telecom Order CRTC 2005-381

  Ottawa, 22 November 2005

TELUS Communications Inc.

  Reference: Tariff Notice 413

Non-material changes to tariffs

1.

The Commission received an application by TELUS Communications Inc. (TCI), dated 5 October 2005, proposing revisions to a number of items in the General Tariff, Special Assembly Tariff, Carrier Access Tariff and Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) Tariff of the former TELUS Communications (Québec) Inc.

2.

TCI indicated that the revisions were minor, non-material changes that would be required to make the new information consistent with the existing format of the TCI website prior to placing these tariffs on the site.

3.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

4.

The Commission agrees that the proposed revisions to the tariffs are non-material.

5.

The Commission notes that pursuant to Local competition, Telecom Decision CRTC 97-8, 1 May 1997, the terms and conditions in the CLECs' tariffs for interconnection must be equivalent to the terms and conditions in the incumbent local exchange carriers' tariffs unless a cost study is provided. CLECs' tariffs are approved on an interim basis in order to ensure that this requirement is met.

6.

In light of the above, the Commission approves the proposed changes to the General Tariff, the Special Assembly Tariff and the Carrier Access Tariff. The Commission approves on an interim basis the proposed changes to the CLEC Tariff. The revisions take effect as of 1 December 2005.

7.

TCI is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith to reflect these changes.
