  Ottawa, 15 June 2005

Câblevision du Nord de Québec inc.

Introduction of intra-exchange and inter-exchange optical fibre tariff

1.

The Commission received an application by Câblevision du Nord de Québec inc. (CVQ), dated 10 May 2005, to introduce General Tariff items 300, Intra-Exchange Optical Fibre and 301, Inter-Exchange Optical Fibre.

2.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

3.

Under the regulatory framework associated with optical fibre provisioning, affiliates of the incumbent local exchange carriers are required to file tariffs. The Commission notes that CVQ is an affiliate of Bell Canada. The Commission also notes that the proposed rates, terms and conditions associated with CVQ's optical fibre tariff are identical to those approved for Bell Canada in Optical Fibre, Telecom Order CRTC 2004-262, 5 August 2004, and Inter-Exchange Dark Fibre, Telecom Order CRTC 2004-355, 29 October 2004.

4.

The Commission approves CVQ's application. The revisions take effect as of 30 June 2005.
