Telecom Order CRTC 2005-148

  Ottawa, 18 April 2005

La Compagnie de Téléphone de St-Éphrem inc.

  Reference: Tariff Notice 36

Residential and Business Primary Exchange Services

1.

The Commission received an application by La Compagnie de Téléphone de St-Éphrem inc., (St-Éphrem), dated 23 March 2005, for approval of rate increases for its Residential and Business Primary Exchange Services. The Company proposed the following rate increases:

  •  residential individual line service, from $21.23 to $24.98;

  • business individual line service, from $39.85 to $42.36; and

  • business equivalent line service, from $41.24 to $43.83.

2.

In order to reflect the directives of Regulatory framework for the small incumbent telephone companies, Decision CRTC 2001-756, 14 December 2001, the Commission adjusted the proposed residential rate increase to allow for the current inflation rate plus the accumulated amount of inflation not taken from previous years.

3.

The Commission approves on an interim basis the following rates:

  • residential individual line service: $24.70;

  • business individual line service: $42.36; and

  • business equivalent line service: $43.83.

4.

The revisions take effect on 1 June 2005.

5.

St-Éphrem is to issue revised tariff pages forthwith to reflect these changes.
