Bell Canada

Digital network services

1.

The Commission received an application by Bell Canada, dated 1 December 2004, on behalf of, and with the concurrence of Aliant Telecom Inc., MTS Allstream Inc. and TELUS Communications Inc., to withdraw National Services Tariff item 701, Teleglobe Cantat-3, and item 702, Teleglobe Central Fibre Optic Network, since the customer's contract associated with these Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) fibre rings expired 15 January 2005.

Bell Canada indicated that both items provide service for large capacity networks and that the networks consist of interconnected SONET self healing fibre rings for various locations.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

The Commission approves Bell Canada's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this Order.
