Telecom Order CRTC 2005-108

  Ottawa, 18 March 2005

Saskatchewan Telecommunications

  Reference: Tariff Notice 75

Distinct Customer Connection Point

1.

The Commission received an application by Saskatchewan Telecommunications (SaskTel), dated 10 February 2005, to add Special Facilities Tariff (SFT) item 1000.04, Distinct Customer Connection Point, in order to introduce a custom-designed customer connection point for one customer.

2.

SaskTel submitted that the customer is constructing a building on leased land that is legally registered to another property owner. For purposes of security, a customer connection point in the new building has been requested.

3.

SaskTel proposed that Distinct Customer Connection Point be included in the uncapped basket, pursuant to Regulatory framework for second price cap period, Telecom Decision CRTC 2002-34, 30 May 2002 (Decision 2002-34).

4.

SaskTel filed an imputation test in support of its application.

5.

The Commission received no comments with respect to the application.

6.

The Commission notes that in Decision 2002-34, most SFTs or Special Assembly Tariffs were assigned to Uncapped services. The Commission therefore considers it appropriate to assign Distinct Customer Connection Point to the Uncapped services basket.

7.

The Commission finds that the imputation test is satisfactory.

8.

The Commission approves SaskTel's application. The revisions take effect as of the date of this Order.
